What amplifier would be best for two Power Acoustik Fubar 12-Inch 1800-Watt Sub woofers?
I got two Power Acoustik 12-Inch 1800-Watt Fubar Sub woofers and I want to hook them up to a good amplifier. Whats a good wattage and brand amplifier for these two subs?
Alpine PDX models are great, highly recommended, and i seen someone said a Sony XPlod...definatly DO NOT get one of those, total garbage, MTX is also a great brand, if you want an amp that is durable and powerful, definatly get an MTX or Alpine PDX

Would it be a bad idea to use a 1000 watt amp with a 500 watt sub?
I'm getting a 12" alpine type R sub, and I found a great deal on a 1000 watt kicker amp. Would it be a bad idea to use them together? Could I not fully use the amp so that it doesn't blow the speaker?
Sorry, I don't know much about car audio.
(yes and no) YES: you can run a bigger amp than your subs but you have to turn your amp down so you wont blow the subs! dont but all the knob/bass all the way up! if your careful you can get by!
NO: if your not careful and dont watch what you are doing then yes you cold just might blow your subwoofer!
** i have a friend took a power acoustik 2000w amp and hooked them up to 2 10' kicker rated 500w MAX and he didnt blowin his subs cause he kept the amp down!
