my pyle 1000 watt amp keeps going into protect mode?

i got a brand new pyle 1000 watt amp from a friend never been opened and every time i hook it up it just goes into protect mode any idea wats wrong with it? and dont just tell me to send it back.
ok i did the ground now all it wants to do is blow the fuse thats in the amp its a 20 amp fuse ive never had this problem before every time i hook up my other amp it never does this

Okay there could be 1 out of the 3 things wrong #1 the amp could just be bad i had that happen a lot #2 the ground isnt good enough it might seem like you have a good spot but change it and see what happens #3 The Speakers you have are blown and that sends a short back to the amp that puts it into protect mode a easy way to find out is unhook the speaker wires from the amp and see if it still does it. I've had all three of these problems a million times when installing car audio
