Car monitors showing black and white?

Just bought and installed a sony headrest monitor. i hooked it up to my in dash dvd player, the picture should be in colour wen i play a movie, but it is on black and white on the monitor, plus there is a fuzzy line running across the screen. can anyone tell me what the problem is... thanks

the wiring is shyt or the monitors are phucked
