Planning a Car Audio Setup

With a wide range of components and gadget on the market for audio systems, The broader question is "Where do I start?

You must first decide exactly what you want to do. If you're wanting to build a audio system for a pilot per day (the car you drive back to work) with good sound, but not interested in competition, a system can easily together for less than $ 1,000. However, if you're looking for the monster under total cons, be ready to fall in some large sums of money on your system.

One of the most important things to consider when building an audio system is the planning. Get an idea of where to place components, subwoofers, amplifiers and distribution of energy. Many headaches can be avoided with proper planning!

For the basic system, lets look at some of the necessary components.

We have to start with the main unit (CD). Obviously, they'll want a unit of Nice. If you start with a CD of good quality, and decide to upgrade your sound system in the future, buying a device that will grow with you. Some features you might consider are:

For the competition vehicle, figure on upgrading your alternator, adding a battery in your system (Maybe more), installation of cables in good quality, electrical cables, ground cables, and speaker cable. You can need to add a capacitor to provide your amplifier with a power reserve for the great success of the submarines. You can have an electronic filter, equalizers, speakers factory replacement amplifier for the midrange and tweeters, additional speakers within your vehicle staging, etc.

Connecting two speakers 4 ohms in parallel with an impedance of 8 ohms?

You must connect them in series. If they are connected in parallel, they present an impedance of the amplifier 2 ohms.
