How effective are the MTX Thunderform or JL Stealthbox for an F-150 as far as bass quality?

I have looked at both the systems and understand the setup and everything, but I was concerned about having two 8s stacked on one side and not the other. As far as sound quality and effectiveness will this work just fine being in a truck cab? I was also curious if anyone has something like this and could give me their input on how they enjoyed it or sound itself. I personally want two 10s on each side under my rear seat but I am unable to find a good quality sub with the right mounting depth.

Sub bass freqencys are non-directional.... meaning it doesn't matter where they are located you will hear them the same.

Personally I don't like either company for "hidden" boxes. They are good for lack of space not lack of sound.

MTX Thunderform F150 Sub wiring?

Can I just plug the RCA wires into it and it will work fine? or will I need to use some other wires also?

You will need to run power wire. The link u provided DOES come with some power wire, but its 10 gauge and you should atleast be looking at 8 gauge. Check to see if the previous owner had already ran power wire and ground wires.

But to answer your question.... no, plugging in the RCAs without anything else will do nothing.
