I have a kicker s12L7. Should i use a rockford fosgate p550 or audiobahn a8000t to power it?

I know rf is much better but would a p550 be enough to power a L7 to max capacity cause i dont want distortion?

Before any installation you should always check the max out-put of the sub/speaker. for example if its 100W peak than the proper RMS is about half of that. RMS being the proper amount of Watts you need to push the sub/speaker safely and without any distortion. Note that distortion will happen if you have other devices linked to the system, like an ipod or other source thats hooked to the imput. Be sure to balance out both volumes (ussually lower volume on devie) and be sure to EQ the amp.
