Looking for advice on building a subwoofer enclosure in a storage compartment of my truck?

I have January 1 to Tacoma Xtra cab a built-in storage compartment behind the passenger seat. It has a 9 "that could open a compression of 8" sub. I would like to close it and the line with some sort of carpet of sound. Has anyone tried this before? My old speaker box too much space, and this seems a good solution.
