Be very careful when choosing an amplifier of L5. They can not take the abuse that the L7 can handle. I know several people who bought the amps and blew L5 cheap, low wattage. Alpine makes a 300.1 mono amp that would give clean crisp bass with an affordable price. That will give the sound I want from the next years I would not recommend using a good brand (Kicker, Rockford Fosgate, Alpine, etc.) amplifier that is rated at 450 watts RMS or will end up with a sub burned.

Need help with settings for my subwoofer?

I have two subwoofers Premier TS-w1207d2 series champion, which are fed by a power amplifier 1500 SL2 acoustics. I have a 1.25 cu. ft. sealed box (corner back). are amazingly clear sound, and press OK. but I do not get the full potential of these submarines. I ran into a 4ohm configuration, should I run in 2ohm? Mabey I shoule box of reach? I've always been a fan of hermetically sealed, but I know that to fit the box to the speakers, to help someone if please! In addition, it woul be a good idea, running two of these amplifiers, one for each speaker? I worry more power and blowing. I have plugged into 4ohm, because the paper work with the submarine said they could be run for 2 or 4 ohms I will be connected to 2ohm. I amplifier 300 watts RMS @ 4 ohms, 360 @ 2ohm or stable. the amplifier is not registered.
